Rewards Program Terms

Effective date: To be confirmed before launchLast updated: 3 July 2026

These Terms explain how points and rewards work when RewardsMate becomes available through participating retailers. Specific retailer conditions shown in the app form part of these Terms.

1. Membership

A RewardsMate member receives one membership identity that may be presented at multiple participating retailers.

Membership does not create one combined cross-store points balance.

2. Retailer-specific balances

Points are recorded separately for each participating retailer. Points earned at one retailer cannot be transferred to, combined with or redeemed at another retailer.

3. Standard pilot reward

Under the standard pilot model, 1,000 eligible points earned with a participating retailer unlock a $10 reward for use at that retailer.

A retailer's earn rate, eligible purchases, minimum spend, expiry and redemption conditions will be displayed in the app or at the point of offer.

4. Eligible purchases

Not every product, service, fee, tax, delivery charge, gift card, refunded purchase or discounted item will necessarily earn points. Applicable exclusions must be displayed by the participating retailer.

5. Recording points

Members must identify their RewardsMate membership at the time required by the participating retailer. Points may not be available where the membership was not identified during the transaction.

6. Reward value

Points and rewards are promotional benefits. They are not cash, legal tender, stored monetary value or a bank deposit. They cannot be withdrawn as cash unless required by law.

7. Redemption

A reward must be redeemed with the retailer that issued it and in accordance with its displayed conditions.

8. Expiry

Any points or reward expiry must be clearly displayed. Where a material change affects existing points or rewards, RewardsMate should provide reasonable notice and, where practicable, an opportunity to use the existing benefit before the change takes effect.

9. Returns and refunds

If a purchase is returned, refunded, cancelled or reversed, associated points may be removed and any reward generated from those points may be cancelled.

10. Errors

Members should contact RewardsMate or the relevant retailer if they believe points or rewards were recorded incorrectly. Transaction evidence may be requested.

11. Misuse

RewardsMate may suspend or correct balances affected by fraud, account sharing, manipulation, duplicate transactions, system errors or other misuse.

12. Retailer departure

If a retailer stops participating, RewardsMate will provide reasonable notice where practicable and explain how outstanding store-specific points or rewards will be handled.

13. Changes

Material changes to point value, earning rules or expiry should be communicated clearly and fairly. Existing member interests should be considered before a change takes effect.

14. Privacy

Personal information collected through the rewards program is handled according to the RewardsMate Privacy Policy. Read the Privacy Policy

15. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
